Spouse:

Wally and I met in 1966 when I was teaching at Roosevelt Elementary school (our grandson, Oscar, is in Kindergarten at Roosevelt this year). Wally was drafted into the US Army Fall of 1967 and we were to be married February 10, 1968. A week before the wedding he was told he couldn't have leave until a week later. So we did some quick changes and were married the next week on February 17. We recently celebrated our 44th anniversary.

Family Life:

We have three children: Sean, 38, lives in Mukilteo with his wife and three children; Ian, 36, lives in Seattle with his wife; Quita, 31, lives in Olympia with her husband and two children. We were 58 when our first grandchild was born in 2003, 2006 brought two grandsons born to our oldest and youngest, 2007 brought a granddaughter and 2008 brought a granddaughter. I love spending time with all of them and that has kept me busy for a while. Our kids all had different interests: CPA with Microsoft, assistant professor of chemistry at Seattle University in Seattle, English major interested in writing and local agriculture.
