The last 40 years: |
I enjoyed visiting with those of you that were at the reunion
and missed seeing the classmates that couldn't make it.
Since our last reunion my life has changed quite a bit. After over
20 years of being in business for ourselves, Bert and I decided
that we wanted to slow our lives down, so we took two years to
sell our shop and our construction equipment and moved to Duvall,
Washington, to be closer to our children and grandchildren. We're
not sure whether or not we actually slowed our lives down but we
sure are having a lot of fun.
We enjoy attending all of our grandchildren's athletic games,
school programs, etc. Our grandchildren live less than one
mile away so we get to see them often.
Bert has taken a desk job and that has been a big adjustment for
him but he really likes the company he works for. I am no longer
working and I love it. For the first time that I remember I have
time to do what I want. After years of working, though, it took
some time to figure out exactly what it is that I want to do.
I'm still working on it.
I hope we have another reunion before long so we can see all of
you again. Take care until then. |
