Attended Mr. Lee’s Beauty School and became a hairdresser in October 1963. Received Manager-Operator license. Took exam and became Instructor Operator as of 1971. Was married in February 1964 to Bill. Moved to Moses Lake where Bill worked for Sigman’s. Bill was transferred to Ellensburg as Assistant Manager and shortly afterwards Bill was drafted into the US Army and sent to Viet Nam. After the army, Bill attended Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake and I worked at Art’s Beauty Salon. After Big Bend, Bill transferred to Eastern Washington State College and I worked at the Golden Comb Beauty Salon in Spokane, where we made our home. After graduation, we moved back to Ephrata and Bill went to work for the Grant County P.U.D. in General Accounting. I am now semi-retired and work two days a week at Art’s.
