It was here that Nat Washington grew up to become one of the state’s long-tenured legislators, a state senator for 30 years. He was attorney for the Grant County PUD, influential in helping them build the Priest Rapids and Wanapum Dams and a leader in the legislative fights over public power in the state The Nat Washington House has been fully renovated and open to visitors. The sons of Nat, Sr. will provide a historical presentation regarding their father and the Washington house.
