The last 10-20 years:

After completing 11 of my 12 years of education in the Ephrata School System, I joined the Navy in the summer of 1962. My mentor for leaving was Claire Abel, who I knew well of the Grant County Juvenile Probation Service. In 1966 I received an honorable discharge, and went to work in Long Beach, California, for Douglas Aircraft. Wanting to return to the Pacific Northwest, I procurred a job with Boeing in Seattle in 1967 and started college at Seattle Community College on the GI Bill. While at Boeing I met my wife, Luci, who was also working and coing to cosmetology school. In 1968 we married and I transferred to the University of Washington. In 1971 I received my BA in Accounting and started to work for the IRS in Seattle. In 1972 I transferred to the Tri-Cities with the IRS. Since being here, my wife has started two businesses and is now the owner of Clearwater Shampoo in Kennewick. We have adopted two beautiful Korean girls who are now ages 6 and 4. We have also taken up sailing as a family hobby and are currently developing a marina at Charbonneau Park on the Snake River. Looking over the past twenty years, I wonder how different things could have turned out; but enough about the past, because I'm looking forward to August 5th and 6th.
