Resides: Ephrata, washington

Husband is Ben.

The last five years have been a time for real change for us. Ben retired from the Farm Service Agency and I decided that I shouldn't work outside the home. That drove us both crazy, so Ben went to work part time for Chris Jacobsen's Excavation as an estimator. Ben is on the City Council and I do some volunteer work. We put a home on the Pend Orielle River north of Spokane, near the great town of Usk. we camped for 40 years there using an outhouse, best thing ever, we now have TWO INSIDE toilets. Ben's family were pioneers in this area, so it is home to him. We are grateful for any time that we are able to spend up there. My dad passed away December 2005 and my Mom is still living in her home. In 2009 we added Kara to our fleet of granddaughters, that brings the count up to five. They are a real joy, ages 10 to 1. Lucky are we that they live here, attend their soccer games, school programs, sometimes it turns into a mini reunion with other classmates and their grandchildren. We have taken several really nice vacations and I am looking forward to going to Mexico with a friend this October. I have reconnected with many old friends from EHS on Facebook, great fun. With the lack of shopping and nice sit down eateries, Ephrata is still a great place to live.
